Not This Time’s brilliant 2-year-old filly Time to Dream was at her best in Wednesday’s $150,000 P. G. Johnson S. at Saratoga, rolling to a five-length win in her stakes debut.
Time to Dream is Not This Time’s 16th stakes winner of the year and comes just one day after he picked up winner number 15 when Rhetorical took the West Point S. over the same Saratoga turf course.
Time to Dream was bottled up between horses for much of Wednesday’s 1 1/16-mile contest, but once she found clear running just before turning for home, she flew through the stretch and left her opponents far behind as she stopped the timer in 1:43.68 on the firm turf.
“We were very excited about her debut and even more so coming out [today],” said Pletcher. “You just hope they continue to train well. She trained really well following her debut and she came over and handled herself very professionally. She was great in the paddock and had to stand in the gate a little while and took that in stride and displayed that big turn of foot that she has again.”
Time to Dream, who won her debut at Saratoga on July 25, is two-for-two and has earned $137,500, is owned by Repole Stable.
Bred in Kentucky by Maggie Gieseke, Time to Dream is a half to MGSW and GISP Red Carpet Ready.
