Not This Time filly earns ‘Rising Star’ tag after stellar Saratoga outing

Cy Fair blasted away from the field at the top of the Saratoga stretch to come home a 3 ¼-length winner in her debut during Thursday’s opening day card of the 2025 meet.

The 2-year-old Not This Time filly was named a TDN ‘Rising Star’ following the sparkling effort. Cy Fair is Not This Time’s sixth Rising Star. His first, Princess Noor, would go on to win the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and Chandelier (G2) and ultimately sold in foal for $2.9 million after her racing career.

Cy Fair got an excellent start and closely tracked Gracie’s Delight through the first three furlongs before making her bid for the lead. She came four-wide into the stretch with a full head of steam and powered clear, then was unconstested the rest of the way to finish the 5 ½-furlongs on the firm turf in 1:01.49.

Cy Fair is owned by Swinbank Stables LLC, who purchased her for $185,000 at the 2025 OBS Spring Sale in April. The bay filly was bred in Kentucky by Marc Keller.
