With the first two months of 2010 in the books, Northern Afleet sits at number nine on the North American leading sires list, with cumulative earnings of $750,021.

Buoyed by an impressive 31 winners thus far for the year, Northern Afleet’s offspring include a pair of stakes winners: Annihilation, who took the A.B. Leggio Memorial S. at Fair Grounds on Jan. 23; and Northern Belle, winner of the American Beauty S. at Oaklawn on Jan. 16.

Northern Afleet’s leading money earner for the year has yet to win a stake, but is sure to before the calendar turns to 2011. Evening Jewel has racked up $70,000 in earnings with runner-up efforts in both the Feb. 13 Las Virgenes (G1) and Jan. 10 Santa Ysabel (G2) at Santa Anita.
