Minaret Station, recent winner of the Joe Hirsch Turf (G1), brings solid credentials into what is a stellar renewal of the Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1) Oct. 31 at Keeneland.
The 4-year-old Instilled Regard colt tasted success in his lone start at Keeneland in the 2024 Bourbon S. (G2) as a 2-year-old.
The Will Walden trainee has been a model of consistency across his nine-race career. Over that time, his only defeat resulted in a fourth-place finish, beaten just a length, after an eight-month layoff.
In the Hirsch, he defeated Breeder’s Cup entrants Far Bridge and El Cordobes (IRE). Prior to that, Minaret Station was a very close second to another Turf entrant in Survie (IRE) in the Christophe Clement Turf (G1).
Minaret Station is in post 3 in the full field of 14 going 12 furlongs, with Jose Ortiz getting the return call.
Post time for the Turf, race 11, is 5:36 pm ET.
