Dana’s Beauty returns to turf with big effort in $200,000 Ouija Board S.

Not This Time’s Dana’s Beauty, last seen winning the $250,000 Latonia S. March 23 at Turfway Park, made it two stakes wins in a row on May 27 with a gallant victory in the Ouija Board S. at Lone Star Park [WATCH RACE].

Along with her March 8 allowance win at Turfway, the 6-year-old now sports a three-race winning streak and has nine career wins overall.

The Ouija Board marked Dana’s Beauty’s first start on the grass since February. She got into an immediate stalking position from post seven and closely tracked pacesetter Libban through six furlongs in 1:11.03. After being set down for the final quarter-mile, Dana’s Beauty took the lead and won the stretch duel with Libban by a head.

The final time for the mile on the firm turf was 1:35.44.

Owned by Resolute Racing, who purchased her out of last month’s Keeneland April Horses of Racing Age sale, Dana’s Beauty has now earned $546,367.

The dark bay was bred in Kentucky by John Liviakis and comes from the immediate family of Preakness S. (G1) winner Cloud Computing.

Not This Time’s progeny are producing their customary excellent results once again in 2024. He has seven stakes winners to date on both turf and dirt, at distances from 5 ½-furlongs to 1 ½-miles.
