Not This Time’s 4-year-old filly Boutwell Time made it four wins in a row with a decisive victory in Saturday’s $100,000 Heavenly Cause S. at Laurel Park.
The chestnut filly was making her 2026 debut after winning her final three starts of 2025, including the Mrs. Clause S., by a combined 20 lengths. She is the seventh stakes winner this year for Not This Time, who leads this year’s General Sire list with over $10.4 million in progeny earnings.
Facing just two foes in the one-mile Heavenly Cause, Boutwell Time tracked pacesetter Complexity Jane for the first six furlongs before swinging wide coming into the stretch to take aim on the leader. After getting on even terms with a furlong to run, Boutwell Time strode clear in the late stages to win by four lengths.
Owned by Jeremy Sussman, Ten Strike Racing and Cory Moelis Racing LLC, Boutwell Time now sports a record of 5-2-1 in 15 starts, with earnings of $216,797. The winner was bred in Kentucky by Joel R. Politi.
