Not This Time, the leading sire of 2026, has a total of six horses entered in the Oct. 30-31 Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland, with Magnitude taking the spotlight in the $7 million Classic (G1).
The highlights do not end there, however. Multiple Grade 1 winner Rhetorical is in the Mile (G1), the trio of Cy Fair, In Our Time and Time to Dazzle in the Turf Sprint (G1), and Damavand in Friday’s Juvenile (G1).
Saturday’s 1 ¼-mile Classic drew a stellar field of eight, with Magnitude in post 6 for jockey Flavien Prat. Owned by Winchell Thoroughbreds LLC and bred in Kentucky by Ron Stolich, Magnitude won this year’s Dubai World Cup (G1) and the Stephen Foster (G1), two races in which he defeated Forever Young and Sovereignty, respectively. Magnitude’s $9,626,365 make him Not This Time’s lifetime leading earner.
The Classic is race 12 at 6:16 pm ET.
Gary Barber, Cheyenne Stable LLC, and Wachtel Stable’s three-time Grade 1 winner Rhetorical is part of a full field of 14 in Saturday’s $2 million Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1).
Rhetorical got two of those Grade 1 scores at Keeneland, in back-to-back runnings of the Turf Mile (G1), the latter coming on Oct. 3, his most recent start. His other came in this year’s Turf Classic (G1) on Derby Day at Churchill Downs.
Trained by Will Walden, Rhetorical will be ridden by Jose Ortiz, who has been aboard for all the 5-year-old’s graded wins. Post time for Saturday’s race, the 9th on the card, is 4:20 pm.
The 5 ½-furlong Turf Sprint, race 5 at 1:48 pm, drew 11 runners, with Time to Dazzle in post 5, In Our Time post 9, and Cy Fair in post 10.
Time to Dazzle’s most recent start was Oct. 11 at Keeneland, when she won the Franklin S. (G2), a race she also won in 2025. The $1.4 million earner is owned by Tracy Farmer and was bred in Kentucky by Dr. Rodney Orr. She will be ridden by Oisin Murphy.
In Our Time was also a winner of her most recent start, the Aug. 29 Ladies Turf Sprint (G1) at Kentucky Downs, with Time to Dazzle second. In Out Time has nearly $2 million in lifetime earnings for owners Resolute Racing and Miller Racing LLC. She gets the services of jockey Micah Husbands on Saturday. Five-year-old In Our Time was bred in Kentucky by Brian Kahn.
Cy Fair, winner of last year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1), has finished worse than third just once in eight lifetime starts while earning over $1 million. She has wins in the Mamzelle S. (G3) and Coronation Cup (G3) this term. The 3-year-old filly is owned by Medallion Racing, Swinbank Stables, Joey Platts, and Mark Stanton and will be ridden by John Velazquez.
Kicking off the Breeders’ Cup action for Not This Time in Friday’s $2 million Juvenile, is the up and coming Damavand, who drew the inside post in the field of eight 2-year-olds. Davamand’s high profile connections have great hopes for him after a maiden-breaking win at Keeneland on Oct. 3.
Damavand is owned by AMO Racing USA, who purchased the dark bay for $1 million at the 2025 Keeneland September sale. He was bred in Kentucky by Mark Stanley and is a half-brother to graded stakes winner Owen Almighty.
The Juvenile is race 9 on Friday, with a post time of 4:55 pm.
Not This Time has a solid hold on the top spot on this year’s General Sire list, with $29.3 million in progeny earnings to date. Taylor Made recently announced that his 2027 fee would be $300,000 S&N.
