In Our Time slipped through a narrow opening along the rail with about a furlong to run and went on to win the $400,000 Giant’s Causeway S. (G2) by nearly two lengths on April 12 at Keeneland.

This marked the first graded score for the 5-year-old Not This Time mare, who previously won the Cellars Chiraz S. in 2024 and placed in five graded stakes since that win. The dark bay distaffer is the sixth graded winner this year for current leading General sire Not This Time.

In Our Time sped to the lead in the first furlong of the 5 ½-furlong Giant’s Causeway before backing off the eager Shining Star (CHI), who sped through the opening quarter-mile in :21.62. Holding her spot along the fence around the turn and into the stretch, In Our Time found an opening soon after and came through quickly to take command. She drew off from there, easily holding off runner-up Creed’s Gold to stop the timer in 1:02.17 on the firm turf.

“[In Our Time] jumps really well, she’s real precocious, but when [jockey] Flavien [Prat] tucked her back in going into the far turn and dropped down into that three position, I knew he was setting her up to be perfect,” said owner John Stewart of Resolute Racing. “That’s what she likes to do, and when they came around the turn, she just took off and did what she does. I think it was a perfect ride by one of the greatest jockeys in the world and we’ve got a really talented horse.”

Stewart continued, “We’re excited with the Breeders’ Cup being here this year. We’ll look forward to seeing her there as long as she stays healthy.”

Trained by Saffie Joseph, Jr., In Our Time is 5-6-2 in 16 starts and has earned $926,492 for co-owners Resolute Racing and Miller Racing LLC. In Our Time was bred in Kentucky by Brian Kahn.
