Troubleshooting leads Not This Time superfecta in Bryan Station S. (G3)

Troubleshooting not only earned his second straight graded stakes win in Saturday’s $600,000 Bryan Station S. (G3) at Keeneland, he was followed under the wire by a trio of horses also sired by Not This Time.

The Not This Time superfecta capped an incredible Keeneland meet that also saw the Taylor Made stallion account for the exacta in the Franklin S. (G2) and the trifecta in the Jessamine S. (G2).

Winner of the Franklin-Simpson S. (G1) at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 6, Troubleshooting closely pressed Golden Afternoon through a half-mile in :47.92. Troubleshooting got on even terms with the pacesetter at the top of the stretch then opened up a one-length lead in midstretch. Gamely reaching for the wire, Troubleshooting held off Tenacious Leader by a neck, with Giacoso and Dream On rounding out the order.

“It really was (pretty straightforward),” said winning rider Tyler Gaffalione. “He’s got a ton of natural ability. He shows good pace and puts himself in a great spot. [Trainer] Greg [Foley] has done a great job with him. He brought him over here ready to run.”

Owned and bred by Donamire Farm, Troubleshooting is 4-3-1 in 10 starts and has earned $1,735,106. The 3-year-old colt is one of his sire’s eight millionaires and nine Grade 1 winners.
