Not This Time had the top filly of the opening session of the 2025 Keeneland September sale on Monday when hip No. 144 brought a winning bid of $2 million.
Consigned and bred by Hinkle Farms, the chestnut filly was purchased by David Lanigan and T. Durcan, agent for Mrs. Cindy Heider.
“She’s been a favorite on the farm for a while,” Anne Archer Hinkle said of the yearling. “We knew coming up here that she would be our top filly in the sale. She checked all of the boxes. She’s a beautiful mover, really great physical. She comes from a great family and Not This Time couldn’t be any hotter.”
The dark bay filly is out of the multiple stakes-placed Ghostzapper mare Stave, who is in turn a daughter of Grade 2 winner Buy the Barrel.
Not far behind the $2 million filly was hip No. 66, a colt consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency that sold for $1.6 million to Windancer Farms.
The colt is out of Out Post and is a half-brother to stakes winner Jace’s Road.
“[The pedigree] goes back to Silverbulletday and Deputy Minister is in there,” breeder Rick Santulli said. “It is a nice page and a nice [physical].”
Not This Time has an additional 77 yearlings cataloged for the remainder of the sale, which runs through Sept. 20.
