Not This Time’s 2-year-old filly devastated her competition in a five-furlong maiden special weight affair July 12 at Monmouth Park, rolling home a 7 ¾-length winner and becoming the newest TDN ‘Rising Star’.

The gray/roan filly, who was making her debut Saturday, sat in fourth just behind a trio of frontrunners through the first quarter-mile. Midway on the turn, she kicked into gear and inhaled the leaders, opening up by four lengths in just a matter of strides. She widened her margin even more in the stretch and was wrapped up in the for the final sixteenth to win coasting under the wire.

Spectacular Grey is owned by III Beauty’s Thoroughbred LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Baron Thoroughbreds, LLC.

Spectacular Grey is Not This Time’s second TDN Rising Star in the past three days. Cy Fair earned the honor Thursday at Saratoga with a 3 ¼-length debut maiden special weight win on the turf.
