Physical Description

Southern Image is a well balanced horse with good size and scope, and he looks as though he will suit a wide variety of mare types.

Much like Saint Ballado, Southern Image has the head of his grandsire, Halo. He has a long neck, a well laid back shoulder and a deep girth. Southern Image has good overall balance to him with a long hip good muscling and a decent gaskin, good hocks and hindquarter. He has a long forearm and short cannon. His feet are a fraction flat which needs to be a consideration when mating to him.

He is a correct horse through the knees and toes out a little on both fronts but tracks well at the walk. Possessing a classic or middle distance frame with decent muscling, Southern Image would be best suited to a robust mare that requires a bit of size, stretch and quality with consideration to a good footed mare.

It is our belief that Southern Image will help stout, good bodied mares that may be a little crooked in front. He would suit the typical Storm Cat-type mare perfectly.
