Forestry's speedy 3-year-old colt Whiskey Romeo racked up his fourth win in five lifetime starts with a front-running score in Friday's $85,000 Trippi S. at Belmont Park. Whiskey Romeo is one of six winners this week by his sire, who stands this year at Taylor Made for $8,000 LFS&N.

Whiskey Romeo broke from the rail in the seven furlong Trippi, hustling to the front under Cornelio Velasquez, widened his lead around the turn, then cruised home in the final furlong to win by 2 3/4-lengths in 1:23.05.

The victory was the third stakes score for the bay colt, who took a pair of $100,000 stakes at Laurel Park late last year: the Marylander S. in Dec. and the James F. Lewis III S. in Nov. He has now won $199,000 for his owner Morris Bailey.

Whiskey Romeo is out of the top-class mare Yoursmineours, who is also the dam of Arlington-Washington Futurity (G3) winner Shared Property. Yoursmineours was a two-time stakes winner of $143,290.
