A colt by Unbridled's Song topped Sept. 17 session of the Keeneland September yearling sale, bringing a final hammer price of $560,000. This was the second-highest price thus far at the sale of all the Unbridled's Song offerings; a filly by the Taylor Made stallion brought $685,000 during the first day of the sale, which runs through Sept. 26.

Tommy and Bonnie Hamilton’s Silverton Hill Farm were the top bidders for the colt out of the stakes winner Sweet Nanette, by You and I. The colt was consigned by Gainesway, agent for Eldon Farm Equine LLC.

“He was a very athletic horse by a top sire,” said bloodstock advisor Ben McElroy, who was seated in the pavilion with Tommy Hamilton. “His half-brother, Sherriff Cogburn, looks like a very promising two-year-old.”

Flag Lake #2 was the buyer of the filly, who is the first foal out of Soul Search, runner-up in the Grade 1 Juddmonte Spinster. The family is full of top-class performers such as 2-year-old filly champion Pleasant Stage as well as Grade 1 winners Seattle Meteor, Marsh Side, and Changeintheweather.
