Oscar Nod's debut win on New Year's Eve at Santa Anita Park gave Mshawish his 13th and final winner of the year.

The 2-year-old filly led the entire six-furlong trip, setting fractions of :21.99 and :45.91, then digging in gamely in the stretch to best Winter Star by a neck.

The dark bay filly is a George Krikorian homebred and is the first foal out of Beautified and is a direct descendant of the champion 2-year-old filly Deux Anes (GB).

Mshawish, the only Grade 1 dirt and turf winner by leading sire Medaglia d'Oro, will stand the 2021 season for $7,500 S&N.
