Melody Lady became the 99th career stakes winner for Unbridled's Song on Jan. 26, with a dominating 6 1/4-length win in the $50,000 El Paso Times S. at Sunland Park. She was also the second new 3-year-old stakes winner in six days for Unbridled's Song, who has gotten off to a fast start in 2013, with Will Take Charge winning the $150,000 Smarty Jones S. on Jan. 21 to put the 3-year-old on the Kentucky Derby trail.

Melody Lady left little doubt as to who the best filly in the 6 1/2-furlong El Paso, going right to the front, setting a quick pace of :22.71 for the quarter mile, then increasing her margin the entire trip to get the distance in 1:15.76.

Bred in Kentucky by John Sikura, who co-owns with Edward McGhee, Melody Lady is out of Lady Tak, who won the Ballerina H. (G1), Test S. (G1), Gallant Bloom H. (G2), Fair Grounds Oaks (G2), and earned over $1.1 million. Melody Lady has won two of her three starts and earned $54,900.
