Not This Time’s 3-year-old filly Last Leaf collected her third stakes win of the year and fourth overall with a sharp score in the $75,000 Azalea S. at Gulfstream Park.

Not This Time, with eight stakes winners and five graded winners, leads the Third-Crop sire list with $7.16 in progeny earnings to date, nearly double his closest pursuer.

Last Leaf had a very wide trip in the seven-furlong Azalea after breaking from the outside post in the field of seven. She was five-wide on the backstretch while tracking the pace, then made a bold three-wide move on the turn to roll by Poiema with five-sixteenths to run. She was all alone in the stretch and geared down late to finish in 1:23.02 on a fast track.

In addition to her four stakes wins, Last Leaf placed in the Forward Gal (G3) in February. Her overall record now stands at 6-1-2 in 14 starts. She has earned $273,472 for Monarch Stables Inc.

Bred in Kentucky by Khalid Mishref Alkahtani, Last Leaf is the only named foal out of stakes-placed My Miss Kallie.
