Top 10 first-crop sire Half Ours registered his seventh winner on Sept. 2 at Del Mar with Quality Elusion's 1 1/2-length win going six furlongs against a full field of juvenile runners. Half Ours, a son of Unbridled's Song, is the sire of Backdoor Kenny, who captured the Aug. 6, $85,000 Mountaineer Juvenile S. and was third in the $75,000 Prairie Gold Juvenile S. in July.

Quality Elusion has a win and second in three starts. The dark bay was a Fasig-Tipton Texas yearling purchase in August, 2010. Bred in Kentucky by Leprechaun Racing Management, Inc., he is owned by Monarch Thoroughbreds LLC.

Quality Elusion is out of Elusive Road, who is a half-sister to Panamanian champion El Bakan, who shipped the U. S. and was second in the Grade 2 Lexington S. and third in the Preakness S. (G1).
