A weanling colt from the first crop of Grade 1 winner Graydar brought a winning bid of $190,000 during Wednesday’s Keeneland November sale. The price was the highest paid during the 10th session of the Nov. 2-13 auction.
The gray or roan, hip No. 3521, was consigned by Shawhan Place LLC on behalf of Glendalough and went to Twin Creeks Racing.
The colt was the last foal for Graydar to go through the sale; he has had 14 weanlings sell for an average of $93,286. His 2016 fee will be the same as his first two years at stud: $15,000 live foal stands and nurses.
