First-crop sire Old Fashioned got his third winner from his freshman runners on Aug. 14 when For Old Times Sake won his debut going five furlongs at Assiniboia Downs.

All three of Old Fashioned's winners have come in maiden special weight company, led by Saratoga winner Sweet Whiskey, who was tabbed a “TDN Rising Star” after her near track-record performance on Aug. 11.

For Old Times Sake, bred in Kentucky by The Elkstone Group LLC and Old Dominion Thoroughbreds LLC, was a one length winner in Wednesday's five furlong affair.

With $106,972 in progeny earnings, Old Fashioned ranks sixth among Kentucky stallions on the Freshman Sires list. By Unbridled's Song, Old Fashioned’s 2013 stud fee at Taylor Made was $8,000 stands and nurses.
