Already the sire of one Breeders' Cup winner, Northern Afleet has two chances to add to his resume at this year's event Nov. 3-4 at Del Mar.

Both of his starters, World Approval and War Story, run on Saturday.

World Approval, a two-time Grade 1 winner at the distance this year, runs in the $2 million Mile on the turf, which has a post time of 6:19 p.m. ET. A win on Saturday would make World Approval the all-time leading earner for his sire, surpassing Afleet Alex and Amazombie, who won the 2011 Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1).

World Approval drew post five in the 13-horse field, including seven horses from overseas. Despite the deep field, World Approval is the second-leading earner in the group, behind only Ribchester (IRE).

Owned by her breeder Live Oak Plantation, World Approval is a half-brother to 2006 Breeders' Cup Mile winner Miesque's Approval.

In the final race on the Breeders' Cup card, War Story is part of an 11-horse field in the $6 million Classic (G1). The 5-year-old veteran, who drew post 4, earned his way into the 1 1/4-mile event with a 2 1/2-length score in the Brooklyn (G2) this summer at Belmont Park.

War Story is one of Northern Afleet's eight millionaires, and like World Approval, a win on Saturday would vault him to the top of his sire's earnings list.
