Thursday marked the second straight day Not This Time had the session-topper at the OBS 2-year-olds in Training sale, a remarkable feat for a First-Crop sire.

Thursday's topper was hip No. 1283, consigned by Randy Bradshaw and purchased by Donato Lanni on behalf of Michael Lund Petersen for $700,000.

“I never know what to expect--no one knows what to expect, but I am glad to see that there is a freshman sire out there that is throwing some precocious horses,” Lanni said of Not This Time's success, which includes two maiden special weight winners from his first three starters.

“He's a big, athletic horse,” Bradshaw added. “He's probably 16.3 now, but for as big a horse as he is, he is as athletic as a horse gets. He's amazing.”

The colt is out of Business Decision, a daughter of graded stakes winner In Conference, while his third dam is Grade 1 winner Personal Business.

Through the first three days of the June 9-12 sale, Not This Time has had four lots bring at least $200,000, topped by Wednesday's $1.35 million filly that is the current sales-topper. The Taylor Made stallion has seven lots cataloged for Friday's session.
