Alcindor, a 3-year-old colt by Unbridled's Song, remained undefeated with a 7 1/2-length romp in an allowance race at Hollywood Park, earning a 102 Beyer and TDN Rising Star status. The talented bay became Unbridled's Song's 12th career Rising Star – a number that leads all active sires in North America.

Trained by Bob Baffert, Alcindor broke sharp and flashed quality speed throughout the seven-furlong contest. But as the field straightened for home he found another gear, quickly turning a close race into a blowout. Alcindor switched leads on cue and drew away to a powerful and widening win, stopping the clock in racehorse-time of 1:21.67 over the local synthetic surface.

Owned by Thoroughbred Racing Legends Stable, Alcindor broke his maiden last month in his only other start, earning another strong Beyer of 92. Baffert confirmed that Alcindor will make his next start in the $250,000 Malibu S. (G1) for 3-year-olds on Dec. 26 at Santa Anita.

Bred by Aaron and Marie Jones, Alcindor is out of the Storm Cat mare Zing, and he's a full brother to exciting young stallion Half Ours. As a yearling, Alcindor was sold for $1.15 million at Keeneland September from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales.
