On day five of the Keeneland September yearling sale, a filly by Unbridled Song sold for $1.3 million to Benjamin Leon’s Besilu Stables to become the highest-priced filly of the sale thus far. This was the second yearling by her sire to bring seven figures at the sale; the first was another filly that went for an even $1 million during opening day.

Consigned by Dromoland Farm, agent, the filly was cataloged as hip No. 941 and is out of the Storm Bird mare Lady of Choice. She is a half-sister to Multiple Choice, winner of three Grade 3 stakes and nearly $700,000.

“I liked everything about her, her walk, her size, strength, and obviously she has a very good pedigree,” Leon said. “When you find something that fits your program, and is so very special, it’s difficult to let them go.”

The filly was bred by Peter Blum in Kentucky and is the 26th yearling in the stud career of Unbridled's Song to sell for at least $ 1million.
