CONFORMATION AND MATING RECOMMENDATIONS
Astrology is a big, grand-looking son of the most influential sire of sires A. P. Indy. Standing 16.3,
he is extremely well balanced, has a beautiful head, great neck and shoulder and a very powerful
hip with good length. Astrology is very well conformed and has never had any type of corrective
surgery. He has good bone and feet, is in slightly on both knees and has shorter pasterns that are
a tad upright. Astrology is out of the exceptionally good-looking, Quiet American mare Quiet
Eclipse, who produced beautiful yearlings year after year for her owner Bill Heiligbrodt. A big reason
why we wanted Astrology at Taylor Made was our familiarity with Quiet Eclipse and the consistently
good looks she passed on to her foals. This was also a major reason we stood Old Fashioned, as his
dam also resided on Taylor Made and had great foals each year. Astrology’s pedigree suggests that
he will throw Classic-type horses but his conformation leaves no doubt as to why he was a GSW at
two. We believe Astrology will improve almost every type of mare physically, although mares that
are extremely upright or very large in stature would probably not be best suited for him.
