Tabbed by DRF columnist Frank Mitchell as the most beautiful horse among the entering
stallions of 2010, Old Fashioned was an $800,000 yearling and is out of the exceptionally good-
looking Meadowlake mare Collect Call. Extremely well balanced, the son of Unbridled’s Song
has the ideal length of body and stands 16.1 hands tall. He has a gorgeous head and intelligent
eye, a nice long neck that ties in high and clean to a strong, deep shoulder.
His hip and hindquarter are both long and powerful. Old Fashioned has
good bone, short cannons and average size feet.
Old Fashioned’s great balance and quality will improve just about
all types of mares. Areas in his pedigree suggest that breeders should
consider mares that are of good substance, correct, have strong hips, and
above average feet.
